'Elowen' Electroformed Cicada
The name 'Elowen', of Cornish origin, means "elm tree" where this particular cicada was found naturally deceased. The elm tree is also associated with symbolism of strength, resilience, and wisdom in Celtic and Germanic traditions.
'Elowen' features a real cicada with a moonstone in the center, a large herkimer diamond, and dichroic glass on the wings. She hangs on a 20" grey deer lace cord with 1 1/2" chain extender and lobster clasp.
Adorn yourself with this unique creation and experience the beauty of nature in every piece.
Caring for your Jewelry
To keep your copper jewelry looking at its best keep it dry, remove before showering and swimming, keep free from perfume and cosmetics and store in a cool dry place when not wearing (in a zipper type plastic bag works great).
Your copper jewelry may change patina over time and oxidize. Most pieces are sealed with a topcoat which will delay this process.
- If your jewelry is already shiny and you would like to keep it that way, you may use a rubbing/shining cloth or mild abrasives like baking soda, or worchestershire sauce to keep copper jewelry shiny.
- Regularly clean / buff your jewelry with a plain cotton cloth.
